BRAHMA

We’ve been working with our Gold Lace Brahma, in Blue Black and Splash Laced Gold, for 6 years. We still consider them a project as we refine type and size. They are a friendly large bird that lays very well for a Brahma. Pullets often start laying by 24 weeks and on average lay 5 eggs a week.

CHOCOLATE TURKEYS

A favorite here, we’ve been breeding our line of Chocolate Turkeys since 2014. These are large friendly turkeys that will breed and brood for themselves.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Would You Like to Know?

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED.

We are in Yellowhead County halfway between Whitecourt and Edson and about 2 hours west of Edmonton.

ARE YOUR CHICKENS WINTER HARDY?

Brahmas and Ameraucanas are both very winter hardy breeds. Due to their large combs, the Orpingtons can be a bit more prone to freezing temperatures. Our turkeys are fantastic winter birds!

WHAT BREED DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR SOMEONE JUST STARTING?

All three of our breeds are wonderful for people just starting out. We are happy to go over all the information you may need about them. Just ask!

DO YOU SHIP?

We ship hatching eggs Canada wide, year round, with the exception of very cold (-20 degrees and colder) and very warm (20 degrees or warmer). We do not ship live birds are we are quite far from an airport and couriers. We will help you find rides for your birds though.
